Cyndy is a fundraiser, writer, mom, equestrienne and creative/professional writing adjunct instructor with extensive experience in raising friends and funds for worthwhile organizations. Both personally and professionally, she integrates traditional and emerging media to tell stories in a unique, engaging way.
Her professional history includes stints as a newspaper reporter, managing partner of an advertising agency, director of creative services, director of alumni affairs at Indiana University South Bend and director of advancement at an independent school. Her short fiction has appeared in The Bend.
Preparing to write the narrative for Road to Hope entailed spending hours going through rough cuts and edits of the film to get to the essence of the story as it weaves together three inter-related primary stories and supporting stories. The narrative not only ties the stories together but also provides a factual context for the lives of the children shown.
With a BA in Journalism from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame, Cyndy is the director of communications and annual giving at Hospice Foundation.
